Garam Masala
This aromatic mixture of spices is best when freshly ground, as it is full
of flavor. It may be kept in an airtight container for 3 months.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon black cardamom
2 inch cinnamon stick, crushed
2 teaspooons whole cloves
4 teaspoons black peppercorn
1/2 teaspoons cumin seed
1 tablespoons coriander seed
1 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon dill seeds
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger (dry or powdered)
1/2 teaspoon fennel seed
Yield: approximately 10 tablespoons.
A recipe for Oral Rehydration
Therapy you can make at home:
Oral rehydration therapy is the liquid used to reverse the dehydration
process and to control the diarrhoea causing the problem.
1 three finger pinch of salt
3 fistfuls of flour
1 litre of clean water
Combine ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook five minutes and the
solution is ready. |
