Park Arenal
The Arenal Volcano National Park is a core conservation area in
the Arenal Conservation Area. It has become a major drawing card
for foreign and Costa Rican tourists because it is one of the
most active volcanoes in all of Central America.

development of interpretative trails. It is also an important
source of income for many of the people who live in the area.
A small industry has developed around servicing the tourism trade
that is primarily locally owned and small scale.
