Night Visits
During the day, the beaches of Playa Grande are like many beaches
- a playground for foreign and Costa Ricans tourists alike. But
at night, they are off limits especially during the leatherbacks
main nesting season - November to March.
The beaches are patrolled. Only small groups can travel on the
pitch black beaches and only with authorized guides. No one is
allowed to disturb the nesting turtles
